There are advantages and drawbacks of the global economy, but it totally seems to grow in 2015 and 2016.

I think EU will struggle with dealing with the Greece issue which is structural of the eurozone. The eurozone won’t be able to solve it as far as they make a certain degree of consensus on the requirements by Greece.

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine will continue for the long future. There will be an obstacle to involving of other countries in the 2 nations. Russia needs to have some strategies to overcome its economic recession by the lower oil price.

Japan will have little hope in the future. Japan is falling in deflation again by the increase in a sales tax. The JP government and intelligence still don’t try to learn macroeconomics.

China will not make a drastic growth like before. China’s bubble has already     burst since a couple of years ago. It is doubtful if China can quell economist concerns about the collapse.

India could be only a growing emerging market in the world. It will make a growth rate of 6%, at least in both 2015 and 2016. I am not able to find other hopeful nations than India. It’s evident that many tech companies attempt to roll out their businesses around India.

Apple is providing with streaming services on Apple TV.

Actually I am feeling even a fear of Apple’s spirit to create new businesses. Now Apple looks like a company can do everything it wants to do as Apple gadgets are incremental. For example, Apple products are as the below;

Smartphone

Doublet

Computer

Laptop

Music player

Watch

Internet TV

Car

And so on.

Could you tell me others? It is no longer a computer manufacturer. It is a general electric company. If I can give Apple some tips to keep a good corporate condition, I will tell Cook that Apple should not go into a finance industry.

Many electric manufacturers like GE, SONY, and Farmer SANYO etc, elbowed to the finance domain “thoughtlessly.” I think Sony has struggled with a competition in an electric field since starting finance businesses. Sony seems not to understand what Sony is. During the Leman shock, GE was significantly upset to get out of the nightmare because the stock price was rapidly decreasing because GE was categorized in a finance company whose profits were earned by the finance division. GE was not an electronic company.

But I know that ROI of finance might be better than making actual products because Research and Development to get a good result can take them a long time. They are likely not to wait for them. Finance usually prefer a short-term profit to long-term one. In that case, they don’t want to spend time and money for a long term investment. What’s more, they won’t be able to invest R and D and human resources in order to happen innovations.

R and D are essentially vital for manufacturers. If Apple seeks immediate profits like some of the finance companies, its innovative activities will not last so long.

Streaming services and broadcasting are having a strategic collaboration. Netflix, streaming service giant and NBC, one of the 4 biggest TV stations have a good relationship with each other.

“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” produced by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, on Netflix now. The two producers have a longstanding with NBC.

The title including all 13 episodes had already been aired on NBC. But, people can watch them again on Netflix’s streaming anywhere, anytime.

Now, streaming and on-demand services can play a complementary role for those who missed on-air on TV. It is very convenient for them. But, I am a little worried about the business result from the streaming which is repeating. If the on-air become popular, the repeating broadcasting or the streaming will have many viewers.

On the other hand, when the viewer rate is very low, we may not expect good business result about the streaming.

However, Netflix is very clever regarding this business because it added some changes to “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” on Netflix. It is good idea to gather viewers. Some viewers who have already watched the on-air version on NBC, may watch it over on Netflix to make sure and enjoy which parts are different between NBC and Netflix. Those who watched it on Netflix firstly, may wait for the repeating broadcasting of it on NBC.

We can see the new business model between traditional broadcastings and the Internet content business. Originally TV programs will be set to air on TV stations like NBC and then they will move from broadcast to online like Netflix. People will look for some differences of the story.

Now, content business is getting so competitive that power of content is very important. Content business needs to make not only makers but also viewers satisfied. Netflix is certain that “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” becomes a long-running hit on Netflix.

Japan still maintains to sell an old type of mobile phones which are not smartphones. It is called in garakei in Japanese that means Galapagos keitai. Keitai means mobile phone in Japan.

Now the majority of mobile phone users is a smartphone user in advanced nations. But, Japanese garakei is still catching on with the users. Actually I am using both types of phones; garakei and smartphone.

There are both advantages and disadvantages. Garakei is almost specialized in a function to talk. The users use it to just call and receive calls. They so often use the Internet with it and with just short mails that is a kind of instant mails. The function of calling will be superior to the smartphone in a term of clear voice.

And also, the size is more compact of carrying. Users often say that it has a long battery life. Many business people still go out to meet their clients and need to process their tasks anywhere without electricity. Battery life is essentially vital when they are not in the offices.

Actually I am using 4 devices such as a smartphone, garakei, pad and laptop. I research cafes to use an electricity when going out.

Garakei has not disappeared, although it seems to disappear. Phone is traditionally a talking tool. If the simple function perfectly keeps with a lower running cost and clear voice, Japanese garakei might be alive and survive for the long future.

Today many companies might sell consumer information to make secondary revenue. But, if do so, they must have approvals of the consumers. In some cases, they don’t so. Some companies are sued by consumers due to abusing personal information.

Tim Cook, Apple CEO, don’t want to sell the consumer information because it is not their business and core value. But Apple is doing an Advertising business, iAd by selling the consumer information. It is different from what Cook is saying. I am interested in what Apple should do as a next action.

I think if Apple has made consensus with the consumers about how to use the information, there will not be any legal issue. There will be just philosophy toward business.

An important thing here is that employees might misuse the information to make a private money, even though, strict regulations about dealing with the information has been made by companies.

I am not an Apple user personally, but I like an animal spirit of Apple always generating innovation. I am expecting Apple’s good direction for how to do with the consumer information.

I would like to think about my ideal Apple watch since the unclearness still remain, although Apple first introduced the watch in September, according to this article.

1. About the battery life

Many people are worried about the battery life because any mobile device doesn’t function without a battery. Now many people stay in café like Starbucks to supplement electricity of mobile devices. Sometimes people feel troublesome if the battery is reduced. I am cautious of how it has a power-saving mode.

2. About the price

Apple said the cheapest one, the Sports model would cost ¥41,773.96 (). But the high-end models still don’t open. People’s speculation of the Edition seems cost anywhere between ¥598,480.76 () and ¥1,196,961.52 (). I still don’t judge whether or not those prices are reasonable.

3. About the wristbands

Peripherals make us enjoy the devices. How many wristbands Apple can be ready is a key as well as the design. Business people will probably prefer stylish one. Women may prefer cute one. It may be important for users to have the various options with the wristbands which will affect the price feeling as a whole.

4. About the apps

Apple usually shows off specific third-party Apple Watch apps. We don’t still know about how the apps are because apps developers have been silent about it. About how people feel the watch, it is vital for them to know how to do with the apps.

5. About the sale place

Where can we buy the Apple watch? The Apple watch will be different from other Apple products. We need to more know how to use it comfortably. There will be a possibility that the Apple watch could replace i-phone. Also, because Apple is a leading company, sometimes people likely feel that the hospitality to answer questions about Apple products by users is not enough. Effective staff education is also needed.

6. About how water resistant is

Apple will probably have an idea of technology with the body. In that case, people will be aware of water resistance. Apple CEO Tim Cook said that he showers with his Apple Watch on. I think Apple watch could medically play an important role to let others know emergency in a water like bathroom, pool, or beach. I really know how long and how deep it can remain submerged.

7. About other features

Cook told the watch could control the Apple TV. I expect Apple can show how Apple watch makes our lives more comfortable by going over a bunch of the other features.
